To achieve our mission, we rely on an experienced and dedicated leadership team:
Dr. Burke was appointed Chief Executive Officer and elected a director of Rowan Companies in April 2014. He served as Chief Operating Officer beginning in July 2011 and was appointed President in March 2013. Dr. Burke first joined the Company in December 2009, serving as Chief Executive Officer and President of LeTourneau Technologies until the sale of LeTourneau in June 2011. From 2006 to 2009, Dr. Burke was a Division President at Complete Production Services, an oilfield services company, and from 2004 to 2006, served as its Vice President for Corporate Development.
Mr. Butz became Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in December 2014, and also served as Treasurer from December 2014 through February 2016. Prior to joining Rowan, Mr. Butz served as Executive Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer at Hercules Offshore, Inc. He was Senior Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer from 2010 to 2013 and held a number of other key
positions since 2005 including Director of Corporate Development and Vice President,
Finance and Treasurer. Prior to joining Hercules Offshore, Mr. Butz held positions in
both investment and commercial banking.
Mr. Keller became Executive Vice President, Business Development in January 2007. Previously he served the Company as Senior Vice President, Marketing and as Vice President, Marketing.
Ms. Trent became Executive Vice President and General Counsel in September 2014. Prior to that time, Ms. Trent served as Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer & Company Secretary since July 2011, and as Vice President & Corporate Secretary since March 2010. Ms. Trent has served as Corporate Secretary since she joined the Company in 2005, and also served as Senior Aide to the CEO from January 2007 to December 2008 and as Compliance Officer from 2005 to January 2007. Ms. Trent holds a law degree.
Mr. Baldwin became Chief Accounting Officer in April 2016. Prior to joining Rowan, he served as Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Cameron International Corporation from March 2014 until March 2016. Prior to such time, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of KBR, Inc. from August 2010 to March 2014, and Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of McDermott International from October 2007 to August 2010. He also previously served at Integrated Electrical Services and Veritas DGC. Mr. Baldwin is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston.
Mr. Gibbins became Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasurer in February 2017, after serving as Treasurer & Director, Financial Planning since March 2016. He previously served in various financial planning and internal audit roles since joining the Company in November 2006.
Mr. Brooks became Executive Vice President, Operations and Engineering in February 2017. Prior to that time, he served as Senior Vice President, Operations from October 2012 through January 2017, and as Vice President, Deepwater Operations since March 2011. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Brooks served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Northern Offshore from 2008 through 2010. He also served in various management positions at GlobalSantaFe from 1998 through 2007, including Vice President of West Africa Operations, and Vice President of Worldwide Deepwater & Gulf of Mexico Operations.
Mr. Necaise became Senior Vice President, Operations in October 2012. Previously, Mr. Necaise held several management positions in the Company, including Vice President, Middle East & European Operations from 2010 to 2012, Vice President, Middle East Operations from 2005 to 2010, and Vice President, Marine Services from 2000 to 2005.
Mr. Clark became Vice President, Operations in July 2014, and is responsible for global deepwater operations and jack-up operations in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Clark joined Rowan in October 2011 as Director and General Manager. Prior to joining Rowan, Mr. Clark served in various management roles at other companies in the offshore drilling industry, including GlobalSantaFe from 1994 to 2008.
Mr. Dowdy became Vice President, Engineering & Technical Support in January 2013, after serving as Vice President, Engineering since April 2006. Previously he had served the Company as Chief Engineer, Marine Group for LeTourneau Technologies, Inc.
Mr. Fitzgerald became Vice President, Supply Chain and Information Technology in January 2017 after serving as Vice President, Supply Chain and Asset Management since August 2015. He joined Rowan as Senior Manager, Vendor Quality Management in July 2014. Prior to this time, he served in key positions at Cameron and Joy Global. Mr. Fitzgerald also served Rowan as Vice President of Manufacturing for LeTourneau Technologies from June 2010 until May 2011, when it was sold to Joy Global.
Mr. Gallup became Vice President of Tax in January 2013. Prior to joining Rowan, he served as Vice President of Tax at Noble Corporation from 2006 to 2012 and as the head of the Tax Department at Pride International from 1995 until 2006.
Mr. Gobillot became Vice President, Legal & Associate General Counsel in October 2011. Beginning in March 2003, Mr. Gobillot served as Vice President of several subsidiary entities and as Associate General Counsel. Prior to such time, he served as Corporate Counsel for the Company. Mr. Gobillot holds a law degree.
Mr. Lawson became Vice President, Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, Marine Support & Training in January 2017, after serving as Vice President, Health, Safety & Environment since January 2014. He joined Rowan in September 2012 as Director, Marine Support Jack-ups. Prior to joining Rowan, he served in several key positions at Santa Fe, GlobalSantaFe, and Transocean, including OIM, Marine Superintendent (Egypt), Manager Marine Operations Jack-up and Moored, and Newbuild Project Director. Mr. Lawson is a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY.
Mr. McHenry became Vice President, Drilling Operations in May 2013, after serving as General Manager, Middle East since 2009. Previously he served the Company as Operations Manager, Middle East from 2007 to 2009, and as Rig Manager from 2004 to 2007.
Mr. Montegut became Vice President, Project Management in January 2012. He joined the Company in March 2011 as Director, New Construction. Prior to joining Rowan, Mr. Montegut served in various international operations and project management positions for Transocean, GlobalSantaFe and Reading & Bates drilling companies. In addition, Mr. Montegut served as President of Offshore Consultants International, a shipyard project management firm.
Mr. Pitre became Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Development in March 2016, after serving as Director, Investor Relations and Corporate Development since April 2015, and as Director, Global Technical Marketing since 2012. Prior to joining Rowan, he served in several key marketing, new construction, and operations positions at Global Marine, GlobalSantaFe and Transocean, including as Director of Technical Marketing, Marketing Manager, Senior Project Manager and Operations Superintendent.
Mr. Pope became Vice President, Sales & Marketing in November 2014, after serving
as Director, Marketing for our Middle East and Southeast Asia regions since September
2009. Prior to joining Rowan, Mr. Pope served in positions of increasing responsibility
at P-Quip Ltd. and Helmerich & Payne, Inc.
Mr. Raimbault became Vice President, Sales & Marketing in April 2016. Prior to joining Rowan, he served in several key Marketing and Operations positions for Transocean, GlobalSantaFe and Global Marine from 1997 through 2015. Mr. Raimbault most recently served as Director of Business Development and Account Management for Transocean until December 2015.
Mr. Wilson became Vice President, Drilling Operations in March 2013, after serving as General Manager, North Sea since September 2011. He is responsible for all jack-up operations outside of the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and Saudi Arabia. Prior to joining Rowan, he served as Operations Manager for Transocean in Brazil from January 2008 through September 2011. He also served in various management roles at GlobalSantaFe from 1997 through 2007, including Operations Manager and Well Operations Manager.
Elizabeth Schiffer became Compliance Officer in February of 2017, and continues to serve the Company as Senior Counsel. Ms. Schiffer first joined Rowan in 2006, and has also served as Vice President and Senior Counsel of LeTourneau Technologies Drillings Systems, Inc. until its sale in 2011. Ms. Schiffer returned to Rowan in 2012, serving as Senior Counsel. Ms. Schiffer holds a law degree.
